IRVINE, CA, October 23rd 2007–Mikasa Sports USA has entered into a marketing partnership with professional indoor volleyball sensation Reid Priddy

Priddy, a veteran of the Men’s US National Volleyball team was an alternate on the 2000 Olympics team and made his first Olympic appearance in the 2004 Athens Games. Priddy recently helped the US Men’s Team win Gold at the NORCECA Championships and win the bronze medal at the FIVB World League.

“Reid is the most exciting and athletic player we have seen in years.” said Richard McCoy, President of Mikasa Sports USA. “As we enter an Olympic year the US Men’s National Team is poised to make a strong showing and we expect Reid’s leadership and experience to help the US Men’s National Team get back onto the medal stand.”

Reid recently signed a pro contract and is currently playing for the Russian team Lokomitiv Novosibirsk. He will return from his pro career in Russia to join Team USA for the FIVB World Cup where the team hopes to qualify for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.

“I am extremely excited to sign with Mikasa.” said Priddy. “Being able to represent Mikasa in an Olympic year is an honor and I hope to represent them well.”

Like Priddy, Mikasa is no stranger to the Olympic Games. Mikasa has been the official indoor volleyball of the Olympics’ since 1964 and has been the official outdoor volleyball from its inception as an Olympic Sport.
